B103 Program Director

Details:
B103 (WGFB) is looking for a full-time program director to begin work immediately. The logo for the station is solid. So is the voice guy. The backbone of music is A+. The structure of the station is solid. We’ve got a growing morning show.

What’s your role? To help make B103 the best pop A/C radio station without the command and control from corporate where you get to imagine promotions plus “stationality” then bring them to life that speaks to the audience and community in 2018 and beyond. You’ll help us build a brand for the future while relying on tried and true principles of success.

The next PD will work closely with the OM and GM to take B103 to the next level and be its chief cheerleader internally and externally. Our next PD will have incredible people acumen and be able to coach an airstaff while building bridges with the sales staff. The next B103 PD will not be afraid to be involved in the community and not be afraid of real hard work. The next B103 will be entrepreneurial and figure out ways to make money with the audience besides airing a 60-second commercial. The next PD will understand data and how to paint a picture of the audience without paying Nielsen five figures per month.

This person will have interpersonal skills that are always firing in a positive way. Previous PD experience is not necessary, but we’re going to ask you about your leadership experience and ways you can demonstrate past successes as a leader.

Understanding of imaging, Selector, MediaTouch, and digital distribution is also important to the selected candidate. Of course, the selectee will be able to construct and maintain an airshift, whether it’s weekday or weekend.

Requirements:
Knowledge of Selector (we will not be switching music platforms)
Varifiable experience working with people in a productive fashion
Ability to demonstrate imaging work and “clock management”
Promotions background and ability to build an annual calendar
Know the difference between strategy and tactics
Ability to coach and develop “personalities”
Understand brand distribution and its importance (on-site and online)
Web skills a plus; Booking artists and producing shows a bonus
